The Gospel of John Chapter 14 Verses 27 thru 31

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. 28 You heard me tell you, ‘I am going away and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. 30 I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me, 31 but the world must know that I love the Father and that I do just as the Father has commanded me. Get up, let us go.”

John 14:27-31 conveys a powerful message of peace and empowerment that Jesus shares with His disciples. In this passage, Jesus emphasizes the profound gift of peace that He leaves with them: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” This peace transcends worldly troubles, offering a divine sense of security and calm amidst life’s storms. Jesus encourages His followers not to let their hearts be troubled or afraid, reminding them that they are never alone.

The subsequent verses reveal Jesus’ awareness of the spiritual battle that lies ahead. He speaks of His impending departure and the adversary who seeks to disrupt their faith and sow discord. Yet, Jesus reassures His disciples that the influence of Satan diminishes in the presence of unwavering faith and obedience to God's will. He affirms His unity with the Father and encourages His followers to remain steadfast in their commitment to His teachings. By doing so, they can resist the temptations and fears that the enemy may cast their way.

Just as Jesus assured His disciples, we too can find strength in believing in His name. When we call upon Jesus and strive to align our lives with God’s Holy Will, we effectively diminish Satan's power over us. This profound truth calls us to live in a state of constant communion with God, fostering a life imbued with divine peace.

In our journey of faith, let us hold fast to these assurances, knowing that through Christ, we possess the authority to reject fear and stand strong against any darkness. As we walk in faith, we can celebrate the victory that comes from our belief in Jesus. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Johnny Day six. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Satan Has No Power Over Me**

In quiet whispers, peace He brings,

A gift to hearts that trust and cling,

“Fear not,” He says, “for I am near,

In every trial in every fear, I will steer.”

The world may shake, its chaos reign,

Yet in His love, we’ll feel no pain,

For He has conquered every foe,

Through faith, we rise, our spirits grow.

In union deep with God’s own will,

We stand unshaken, strong and still,

The powers of darkness lose their hold,

In His embrace, we’re brave and bold.

So let our hearts, in trust, abide,

With Jesus walking by our side,

In every moment, come what may,

Satan has no power to control our way. Amen.
