The Gospel of Luke Chapter 21 Verse 29 thru 33

29 He taught them a lesson. “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. 30 When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near; 31 in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

In Luke 21:29-33, Jesus offers profound reassurance as he speaks of the signs of the times. He uses the metaphor of a fig tree, illustrating how the natural world reflects the unfolding of God's plan. When the tender shoots appear, we know summer is near; similarly, when we observe the signs He describes, we can recognize the approach of God's kingdom. Jesus declares, "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

These verses remind us of the eternal nature of Christ's teachings. In an age fraught with uncertainty and turmoil, it is easy to be consumed by fear and anxiety about the future. Yet, Jesus assures us that while the material world may crumble, His promises stand unshakeable. His words, which invite us into a relationship of love and grace, transcend time and circumstances. They are a source of courage and comfort as we navigate the complexities of life and the challenges that herald the end times.

As believers, we are encouraged to face the future with a spirit of surrender and joy. The hope of salvation and the assurance that Christ’s words are steadfast empower us to live boldly. We are called not to succumb to despair but to embrace the joy that comes from knowing we are redeemed. As we anticipate the return of Christ, let us hold fast to His teachings and find strength in His promises, knowing that they illuminate our path in even the darkest of times. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Day Two Novena for John Jeffries. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

11-28-2025 Luke 21 v2933

**My Words Will Not Pass Away**

In every leaf that dances, see,

A secret truth that soon will be,

With parables the world unfolds,

In whispers soft, a story told.

The fig tree blooms, its signs are clear,

In the summer’s dew the time draws near;

So learn the lessons from the skies,

For wisdom’s voice within us lies.

Though heavens tremble, earth may sway,

His promises, they will not fray;

As ages pass, and seasons change,

His Word remains, never strange.

“O generation, stand and see,

The Kingdom comes, His majesty!

With faith we wait, our hearts align,

In every moment, His light will shine.”

Heaven and earth may pass away,

Yet not His words, they shall not sway;

In every heart, a truth will dwell,

Eternal love, Emmanuel. Amen.
