The Book of Luke 1 v- 39 thru 45

39 During those days Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah,40 where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, 42 cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?44 For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”

Luke 1:39-45 recounts the visit of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth after the Annunciation, where she learns of Elizabeth's miraculous pregnancy with John the Baptist. Upon Mary's arrival, Elizabeth feels her child leap in her womb, filled with the Holy Spirit, and proclaims Mary as "blessed among women." This moment highlights Mary's pivotal role in salvation history and her profound faith.

The Rosary, a significant form of prayer in Catholic tradition, is rooted in such biblical events. It invites the faithful to meditate on the life of Christ through the lens of Mary’s experiences, including her visit to Elizabeth. The Joyful Mysteries, for instance, encompass scenes like the Annunciation and the Visitation, allowing believers to reflect on Mary’s acceptance of God’s will and her role as the Mother of God.

Mary’s incorruptible life is often celebrated in Catholic theology, emphasizing her purity and sinlessness. This belief is linked to the dogma of the Assumption, which teaches that Mary was taken up body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life. This belief underscores her unique relationship with God and her role in the redemptive plan.

As a result of her virtues and divine favor, Mary is designated as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. This title reflects her exalted status and intercessory power, wherein she is seen as a compassionate advocate for humanity before God. In summary, Luke 1:39-45 serves as a foundational scriptural basis for understanding Mary’s role, the origins of the Rosary, and the theological concepts surrounding her life and significance in the Catholic faith. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

08-15-2024 Luke 1 V-3945

**Blessed Are You Among Women**

In haste, young Mary made her way,

To greet her cousin, bright as day.

With joy, Elizabeth did proclaim,

The blessed one, forever her name.

Upon her heart, a miracle stirred,

A leap of life, a silent word.

Two mothers bound by grace divine,

In love’s embrace, their spirits entwine.

"How is it mine," Elizabeth cried,

"That the Mother of my Lord should abide?"

A humble heart, Mary spoke with grace,

Her soul rejoiced in this sacred place.

For from her womb, the Light would shine,

The promise of hope, a gift divine.

Blessed are you among all women,

In faith and love, your journey without sin.

Generations will call you blessed and true,

A beacon of love in all that you do.

In the quiet moments, hear their song,

For in your heart, the world belongs.

So let us reflect on this holy scene,

Of two great mothers, both strong and serene.

In unity, they share their call,

A testament of faith, embracing us all. Amen.
