The Gospel of Luke Chapter 21 Verse 25 thru 28

25 “There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. 26 People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.28 But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.”

In Luke 21:25-28, Jesus speaks of the tumultuous signs that will mark the end times—distress among nations, perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves, and people fainting from fear. Yet, amidst these frightening predictions, He offers a profound message of hope and reassurance. As we gather today on Thanksgiving, it is vital to reflect on the spirit of thankfulness that emerges from these verses.

In a world filled with uncertainty and chaos, we are reminded to lift our heads and rejoice because our redemption is drawing near. The passage encourages us to look beyond the immediate challenges and discomforts, focusing instead on the promise of deliverance. This Thanksgiving, let us be thankful—not just for the abundance of food or the warmth of family gatherings, but for the steadfast assurance that we will stand erect and firm even when the signs of the times unfold around us.

The act of raising our heads symbolizes resilience and hope. It is an invitation to maintain our faith in God's promises, knowing that He is with us. We can express gratitude for the strength He provides to confront adversity and the peace that surpasses understanding amidst trials. In making space for gratitude, we choose not to succumb to fear but to embrace the assurance of His presence and guidance.

As we celebrate today, let us cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving that acknowledges both the blessings we enjoy and the hope we have for the future. Remember, even in moments of distress, we can be thankful—for every sign we see is a reminder of the approaching grace and redemption that awaits us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Day One for the Repose of the Soul of John Jeffries. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

11-27-2025 Luke 21 v2528

**Stand Erect Your Redemption Is At Hand**

In days to come, the signs will show,

The sun and moon in shadows flow,

The stars will tremble in the night,

As tremors shake the world with fright.

The roaring seas, a fearful sound,

The hearts of many, heavy, bound.

Yet in this time, when fear takes hold,

A glimmer speaks, a truth of old.

“Lift up your heads, for hope draws near,

Redemption’s light will soon appear.

Amidst the chaos, grace shall reign,

A promise born from love, not pain.”

Though skies may darken, and tempests rage,

Every ending turns a page.

For those who watch and stay awake,

A dawn will break, a new path to make.

So stand with courage, let not your heart yield,

For in the trials, love is revealed.

As history turns and ages pass,

Hold on to strength, for joy shall amass. Amen.
