The Gospel of Luke Chapter 7 Verse 36 thru 50

36 A Pharisee invited him to dine with him, and he entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table. 37 Now there was a sinful woman in the city who learned that he was at table in the house of the Pharisee. Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment, 38 she stood behind him at his feet weeping and began to bathe his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.” 40 Jesus said to him in reply, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” “Tell me, teacher,” he said. 41 “Two people were in debt to a certain creditor; one owed five hundred days’ wages* and the other owed fifty. 42 Since they were unable to repay the debt, he forgave it for both. Which of them will love him more?” 43 Simon said in reply, “The one, I suppose, whose larger debt was forgiven.” He said to him, “You have judged rightly.”44 Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet, but she has bathed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but she has not ceased kissing my feet since the time I entered. 46 You did not anoint my head with oil, but she anointed my feet with ointment. 47 So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.” 48 He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49 The others at table said to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” 50 But he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

As we gather on day eight of our novena for the soul of Charlie Kirk, we reflect on the powerful message conveyed in Luke 7:36-50. In this passage, we witness a transformative encounter between Jesus and a sinful woman who anoints His feet with perfume, demonstrating profound love and repentance. This moment highlights the depth of God's mercy and the willingness of Jesus to embrace the marginalized and the broken-hearted.

Charlie Kirk embodied the essence of this passage through his unwavering faith and commitment to sharing the message of Christ. He, like the woman in Luke 7, understood the importance of humility and the need for grace. Charlie's life was a testament to trusting in God's will, seeing every interaction as an opportunity to spread the love of Jesus. He engaged with people from all walks of life, breaking down barriers and fostering understanding, much like the woman who defied societal norms to seek Jesus’ forgiveness and healing.

Jesus remarked that those who are forgiven much love much. In the same way, Charlie lived out this principle, recognizing the transformative power of grace in his own life and in the lives of others. He found the joy in discussing faith, encouraging others to open their hearts and minds to God’s presence.

As we offer our prayers for Charlie, let us remember the profound love and forgiveness found in Christ. May we honor his memory by embodying the same spirit of trust in God’s will and an eagerness to share the Gospel without reservation. Amen. Let us continue our novena with hearts full of love, reflecting on the great mercy God extends to each of us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

09-18-2025 Luke 7 v3650

**Your Faith Has Saved You; Go In Peace**

In a room where whispers danced like shadows,

A Pharisee dined, in judgment’s embrace.

Yet within the crowd, a heart, burdened hallows,

Found the Savior's gaze, a touch of grace.

With alabaster jar, she stepped in bold,

Her tears, a river, washed His weary feet.

The fragrant oil poured, a story untold,

A love unbound, where the broken hearts meet.

“Simon,” He said, “who loves more, do you think?”

The one forgiven much, or less—so clear?

In her humble act, His presence made her sink,

A life transformed, all shame now disappeared.

With tender compassion, He saw her soul,

“Your sins are forgiven,” sweet words did flow.

Her faith had saved her, made the broken whole,

In His arms of mercy, true healing would grow.

The guests all murmured, incredulous, fraught,

“How could this man speak with such authority?”

Yet in that moment, redemption was sought,

Overwhelmed by grace, she found liberty.

A heart once lost found solace that night,

She worshiped in freedom, washed in His love.

In a world of silence, her voice took flight,

Proclaiming her Savior, sent from above.

So let us remember her story so dear,

That love knows no bounds—no sin too great.

With faith like the woman, let's draw ever near,

To the Savior who welcomes us beyond the gate. Amen.
