The Gospel of John Chapter 15 Verses 12 thru 17

12 This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. 13 No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. 16 It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. 17 This I command you: love one another.”

In John 15:12-17, Jesus delivers a powerful message about love, friendship, and divine promise. He begins by commanding His followers to love one another as He has loved them, establishing love as the cornerstone of Christian community. This love is not merely an emotion; it is an action rooted in selflessness and sacrifice, exemplified by Christ Himself. By calling His disciples "friends," He elevates their relationship, emphasizing intimacy and trust in their connection with Him.

As He continues, Jesus assures His followers of His unwavering presence and support. He promises that whatever they ask the Father in His name, He will give them. This remarkable promise underscores the importance of faith, prayer, and alignment with Christ's will. To ask in His name is not a mere formula or phrase; it signifies a deep relationship with Jesus, understanding His character, and aligning our motives with His divine purpose. When we pray earnestly and seek His guidance, we can confidently approach the Father, knowing He hears us and responds abundantly.

This assurance is a profound encouragement for believers. It instills hope in times of uncertainty and challenges, reminding us that we are not alone, but rather cherished friends of Christ who can communicate directly with the Father. By embodying His love and sharing it with others, we become conduits of His grace, reflecting the relationship we enjoy with Him.

As we navigate our daily lives, let us remember the promise that accompanies our prayers. Whatever we ask in Jesus' name, in accordance with His will, He will provide. This remarkable truth invites us to approach God boldly and faithfully, resting in His goodness and faithfulness. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Johnny Day nine. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

05-23-25 John 15 v1217

**Ask in My Name the Father Will Give You**

In love's embrace, He calls us friend,

A bond unbroken, no need to pretend.

"Love one another," His command resides,

In every heart, His Spirit abides.

A greater love than this, none can find,

Laid down for us, a gift intertwined.

Through trials and joys, together we stand,

United in purpose, heart in His hand.

He whispers sweet promises, so divine,

"Ask in My name, and blessings align."

With faith as our anchor, and prayers that rise,

The Father's response meets our earnest cries.

So let us love boldly, with hearts sincere,

Reflecting His grace, drawing others near.

In His perfect will, we find our true role,

As friends of the Savior, transformed and whole. Amen.
