The Book of Ephesians 3 v- 14 thru 21

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family* in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine, by the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is a significant feast in the liturgical calendar of the Roman Catholic Church, celebrated 19 days after Pentecost, typically falling on a Friday. This solemnity honors the physical heart of Jesus Christ as a symbol of His boundless and passionate love for humanity. The devotion to the Sacred Heart emphasizes the emotional and compassionate aspects of Jesus' divine nature, reflecting His deep love, mercy, and the sacrifices He made for the Salvation of humankind.

The origins of this devotion can be traced back to early Christian mystics, but it gained widespread prominence in the 17th century following the visions of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, a French nun. She reported that Jesus had communicated to her the desire for a feast dedicated to His Sacred Heart to be established, highlighting the themes of repentance, reparation, and the infinite love of Christ.

The liturgical celebration includes special Mass readings and prayers that focus on the love and mercy flowing from the heart of Christ. The imagery often associated with the Sacred Heart—depicting Christ’s heart, crowned with thorns and radiating light—serves as a poignant reminder of His suffering and enduring love.

Devotees often engage in acts of consecration and reparation to the Sacred Heart, seeking to deepen their love for Christ and to atone for the sins of the world. Through this solemnity, the Church invites the faithful to reflect on the profound love of Jesus, fostering a greater sense of compassion, charity, and spiritual renewal in their personal lives and communities. Today we celebrate the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Winterhaven at St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Join me at 8:15 AM where I’ll be the Lector and praying with my wife and grandson. Turn to His Sacred Heart and find peace. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

06-07-2024 Ephesians 3 v-1421

**Solemnity of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus**

In the quiet hush of dawn's first light,

Where shadows flee and hearts take flight,

A sacred moment, pure and bright,

The Sacred Heart, our guiding sight.

Upon this day, in reverence deep,

Where faith and love together sweep,

We gather, souls who no longer sleep,

In Jesus' heart, our spirits leap.

His heart, a flame of boundless grace,

A refuge in this world's vast space,

With tender love, His warm embrace,

He calls us to a holy place.

O Sacred Heart, with thorns entwined,

A symbol of love so mystically divine,

Through every trial, we find the sign,

Of mercy in each of your heart's design.

His heart, it beats with love so true,

For every soul, both me and you,

In sorrow's night or morning dew,

His sacred love, forever new.

O Jesus, in Thy heart we find,

A peace that calms the restless mind,

A love that heals, a grace so kind,

In Thee, our refuge, intertwined.

With every beat, Thy heart does speak,

Of love for all, the strong, the weak,

In humble hearts, Thy strength we seek,

Thy Sacred Heart, our spirits peak.

On this solemn day, we vow to be,

Reflections of Thy merciful charity,

In every heart, Thy love decree,

O Sacred Heart, we worship Thee. Amen.
