The Book of Matthew 19 v-13 thru 15

13 Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked them, 14 but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 After he placed his hands on them, he went away.

In Matthew 19:13-15, Jesus emphasizes the importance and value of children in the Kingdom of Heaven. In this passage, several key themes emerge:

1. Value of Innocence and Humility: Jesus highlights that the qualities often found in children—innocence, humility, and openness—are essential for entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Children are not burdened by the complexities and pretensions that adults often carry, which allows them to receive God's message with faith and trust.

2. Accessibility of the Kingdom: Jesus' invitation for children to come to Him underscores the idea that the Kingdom of Heaven is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, status, or societal norms. It challenges the adult-centric view of spirituality and serves as a reminder that faith should be simple and sincere.

3. Rejection of Barriers: The disciples' initial rebuke of those bringing children to Jesus reflects common societal attitudes that often overlook the significance of children. Jesus’ response directly contradicts this by emphasizing that there should be no barriers preventing anyone, especially children, from coming to Him.

4. Affection and Blessing: By placing His hands on the children and praying for them, Jesus demonstrates His love and care. This act signifies the importance of blessing and nurturing the young, reinforcing their value in the community and in the eyes of God. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

08-17-2024 Matthew 19 V-1315

**Let the Children come to Me**

In a world where voices often clash,

Where the wise and learned swiftly pass,

Jesus has a gentle call, a tender plea,

"Let the children come, let them come to Me."

With open arms and hearts so pure,

They carry love, so deep, so sure.

No pretense worn, no burdens heavy,

In their laughter, faith flows steady.

"Do not hinder, let them draw near,

For in their innocence, I am clear.

The Kingdom of Heaven, is a wondrous place,

It belongs to those who seek My grace."

Their tiny hands, reaching up to the sky,

In their trust, the truth will abide.

With every giggle, with every sigh,

They teach us how to live and fly.

So let us learn from these little ones,

In their simplicity, the journey’s begun.

For in their eyes, the light does gleam,

Reflecting the heart of a greater dream.

Come, let us cherish, come, let us see,

The beauty of faith, as pure as can be.

For Jesus beckons, His message is clear,

"Let the children come, for I hold them dear." Amen.
