The 2nd Letter to the Thessalonians Chapter 3 v-Six thru Sixteen

6 We instruct you, brothers, in the name of [our] Lord Jesus Christ, to shun any brother who conducts himself in a disorderly way and not according to the tradition they received from us. 7 For you know how one must imitate us. For we did not act in a disorderly way among you, 8 nor did we eat food received free from anyone. On the contrary, in toil and drudgery, night and day we worked, so as not to burden any of you. 9 Not that we do not have the right. Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you, so that you might imitate us. 10 In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat. 11 We hear that some are conducting themselves among you in a disorderly way, by not keeping busy but minding the business of others. 12 Such people we instruct and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and to eat their own food. 13 But you, brothers, do not be remiss in doing good. 14 If anyone does not obey our word as expressed in this letter, take note of this person not to associate with him, that he may be put to shame. 15 Do not regard him as an enemy but admonish him as a brother. 16 May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Apostle Paul addresses the importance of maintaining order and discipline within the Christian community, particularly regarding the issue of idleness. He urges believers to distance themselves from any who refuse to work and instead live in a manner consistent with the teachings they received. Paul emphasizes that hard work is not just a personal virtue but a collective responsibility that reflects one’s commitment to God and the community. He reminds the Thessalonians that he and his companions worked tirelessly, setting an example for others to follow.

This message holds significant relevance today, especially in the context of social media. Just as Paul admonished the early church to correct behaviors that contradicted their faith, modern believers are called to engage with non-believers and fellow Christians alike in a constructive manner. Social media provides a unique platform to share values, insights, and encouragement, but it also presents opportunities to confront behaviors that may not align with Christian principles.

When interacting on these platforms, it is crucial to do so with love and grace. Admonishing others does not mean condemning them; rather, it involves offering guidance and support. By sharing biblical truths and personal experiences, Christians can inspire non-believers to reflect on their lives and choices. This approach fosters an environment where meaningful discussions can occur, potentially leading others to seek a deeper understanding of faith.

Ultimately, just as Paul’s exhortation was grounded in love for the community, our admonishments on social media should stem from a genuine desire to see others flourish spiritually. Engaging thoughtfully and respectfully can lead to transformative conversations that honor God and uplift those around us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Brother Admonish If They Don’t Imitate Jesus**

In the heart of Thessalonica, a message bold and clear,

Paul penned his words of wisdom, for all the faithful to hear.

“Brothers, heed this call to order, cast off idleness and strife,

For in the work of daily living, you’ll find the trusted life.”

With hands that toil, and hearts that serve, let each one take their stand,

For love is shown in actions, as we lend a helping hand.

He showed us through example, with labor day and night,

To walk the path of diligence, to seek the good and right.

Let us not grow weary, in doing what is just,

Embrace the call to purpose, in our Savior we must trust.

For those who choose to wander, in paths of ease and pride,

May find themselves in shadows, where truth and grace collide.

Admonish with a gentle heart, let kindness lead the way,

For every word we speak in-kind can brighten up the day.

Encourage those around us, both in faith and in deeds,

For in this shared connection, the Spirit’s love proceeds.

So strive to live in harmony, with patience as your guide,

And share the hope and promise, that in Christ we all abide.

In every message shared, let your light so brightly shine,

Reflecting love and purpose, as we walk this path divine. Amen.
